Andrei Kirilenko, PhD has been making films since 1995. He has produced and directed six short narrative films. Technostorks is his first feature-length documentary. Andrei’s directorial experience includes preparing shooting scripts and day schedules, casting actors and hiring crew for multiple-day productions of up to 20 people working in several locations, working with production managers and producers, as well as editors, composers, and other post-production staff. His producer experience includes negotiating contracts, hiring and supervising production and post personnel, preparing schedules, budgets and monitoring cash flow. Andrei lives and works in Bethesda, MD. He is currently in pre-production on a feature film and working on a screenplay for another feature. He and his writer/producer wife, Shelley, have a son, Luke, who was conceived through assisted reproduction after six years of infertility and multiple fertility treatments.

Shelley Kirilenko, PhD has been producing films and writing for the screen since 1995. She has also written a host of fiction and non-fiction works, including a novel, A.B.D., and a short-story collection, Evening in Missoula. She has had her stories published in The Iconoclast, Short Stories Bi-Monthly, and Sunflower Dream. In May 2002, she wrote and co-produced a promotional episode of a feature film based on her screenplay, Light & Dark. A staged reading of the feature length screenplay of Light & Dark took place at American University in March 2003. She is currently working on a memoir chronicling her experiences with infertility entitled The Blue Kimono, and several feature screenplays.

Tom Beach has been in the film production industry for the past 20 years, working as a director of photography, cameraman, gaffer, grip, and lighting director. In addition to working on Technostorks, his credits include several shows aired on Discovery and PBS, The Wire, an HBO series, and many independent films. Tom also worked for many years as a writer/producer for Eastman Kodak Company, was on the staff at the Ithaca College School of Communication, and taught digital media courses at the Maret School in Washington, DC.

Andy Schwartz is a freelance Field Producer, Director of Photography and Steadicam Operator. He has been working on broadcast network documentaries, independent films, and corporate videos for the past 6 years. He has produced and filmed for PBS, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Discovery Health Channel, TLC, HGTV, International Campaign for Tibet, and IcelandAir. In addition to Technostorks, Andy recently completed work on a 5-hour primetime series for Discovery Channel, and is currently Director of Photography on two independent films, a recurring 26-part series for HGTV, as well a one-hour documentary special for TLC airing in early 2006.

Tim Fabrizio is a young, up-and-coming cinematographer. His resume includes credits from National Geographic, Discovery Channel, NBC Sports, ESPN, CBS Sports, and HBO. Tim works in a variety of formats from film to HD to MiniDV. He also works on a variety of projects, including documentaries, shorts, and TV shows. Tim has just finished shooting a feature film, Wild Seven, which will be hitting the theater near you in early 2006.

Alan Riddle began his filmmaking career at Fairfax Public Access TV studio. Subsequently, he shot and edited the behind-the-scenes documentary for an independent feature, Henry Dodd, edited the music show, Potomac Pulse, and directed music videos and TV shows. Alan is currently based near Asheville, NC.

Patrick French has been doing freelance camera and audio work for broadcast and industrial projects since 1984. His clients include ABC, CBS, NBC news and magazine shows. He has also worked on numerous documentaries for Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and PBS. Patrick and his wife have gone through every conceivable form of fertility treatments, including 3 unsuccessful cycles of IVF. Several years ago they adopted a baby boy.

Larry Contratti has written, produced, and edited film and television projects, including the Fox television show America 's Most Wanted. He is the owner of BC Media, a DC-area production company specializing in short films based in Rockville, Maryland.

J. Scott is President and creative director of JSS Productions, Inc. in Fairfax, Virginia.  Scott has over 15 years of experience as a non-linear editor and graphics artist.  His special skills include Avid Editing, Final Cut Pro editing, Animation and Compositing with Adobe After Effects, Motion, Combustion, and Shake.  Scott has used these skills to edit numerous documentaries and commercials for Brooks Brothers, Marine Corps, Kraft Foods, Accenture and other Fortune 500 companies. Scott has recently become an expert in High Definition video and JSS Productions is currently listed on Apple Computers’ website.  He is also a writer for Studio Monthly Magazine where he reviews High Definition video hardware. Scott has two sons conceived through in vitro fertilization.

Beezhan Meezan began his work as a freelance journalist in Tehran at the age of 16. He traveled around the world as an editor and cameraman for a number of years, producing a weekly program aired on 42 different cable TV stations around the United States and the world. He has shot and edited several documentaries and TV shows that were aired on Discovery Channel and Fox. Beezhan has directed and edited a number of films which have been screened at several film festivals. He has just finished editing a reality TV show, Biker Girlz, which will air on Discovery Channel. Beezhan is also writing a script for a feature-length film and developing a new documentary.

Marc Stoecker has six years of television and video experience, with a background in producing, editing, studio directing and production, and scriptwriting.  His credits include National Geographic, HGTV, the Style Channel, Maryland Public Television, WETA, US Customs, Candy and Cupcake (a live action children's show), Arlington County Government, Fairfax County Government, the Cincinnati Cafe, CASA, and now Technostorks.

An award-winning singer/songwriter, Eric Weinberg was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Washington, DC. At the age of nine he learned to play guitar, wrote his first song and started performing on street corners. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Eric has won numerous songwriting awards and toured the country, at times averaging 100 gigs a year. Prior to writing and recording the score for Technostorks, he has composed and arranged original music for a number of films and shows, including the Grammy-nominated performing group, Dinorock.

Kiley Kraskouskas is an associate producer for Technostorks and Rock Creek Productions in Reston, Virginia. Her associate producer experience includes doing documentary research, developing scripts, helping supervise some production and post personnel, helping to conduct and transcribe interviews, and developing final scripts and film editions. Kiley holds an MA in Sociology from New York University and is currently working on her PhD.  Her dissertation work focuses on the development of new reproductive technologies, particularly in regard to surrogate motherhood.

Hannah Chismar is a production coordinator who works as a liaison between various production crews and staff working on television programs for National Geographic, Discovery Channel and TLC. Her primary responsibilities are shoot logistics, casting and music searches, project research, talent relations, and administrative duties. In addition to being passionate about film, she has a great love for American and British indie rock music.

Erica Huffman has a BA in Electronic Media and Film from Towson University. For the past two years, she has been working full time in the film and television industry on a variety of projects, including documentaries, independent films, commercials, and reality TV. Erica was particularly interested in being a part of the Technostorks team after the difficult, but positive experience she had with donating her eggs to a couple suffering from infertility.
